Crazy. He’s barely 31, yet comedian George Wallace was recently given a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Yes, he paid us to say that. Not the award part, the 31 part.
Probably.

George Wallace, longtime headliner at Flamingo Las Vegas, was given the prestigious award during the Soul Train Awards weekend at Planet Hollywood back in Nov. 2012.
“It’s an honor and a true blessing to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in Comedy,” said Wallace. “After 36 years of communicating through jokes, someone finally said ‘He’s excellent, let’s say thank you before he kicks the bucket,’ likewise, I’d like to say thank all of you before I kick the bucket.”
The event was taped for broadcast, and a “Centric Comedy All-Stars” special will air March 2, 2013 on, of all places, the Centric network (a spin-off of BET). The show is hosted by Bill Bellamy and Anthony Anderson. Featured comedians include Sherri Shepherd, Tony Rock, Gary Owen, George Willborn and G-Thang.
It’s also worthy of note that George Wallace was recently named one of the 25 Funniest People on Twitter by Rolling Stone Magazine. (This blog was #26. Again.) Find Mr. George Wallace on Twitter, and enjoy this blog’s list of his funniest Tweets here.
Catch the man and the legend, George Wallace, at Flamingo Las Vegas.
