Eldora Mountain Resort opened for its 50th season today, Friday, November 16th. The resort opened with three trails and three lifts operating. Hornblower and International, from the top of Challenge Mountain, and the beginner area behind Indian Peaks Lodge opened. Cold temperatures which moved in last weekend allowed snowmaking operations to run through this week, providing a 20 inch base of machine made snow. Lifts will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

With continued cold temperatures and a little help from Mother Nature, more terrain will open across the resort as soon as possible.

Also, Eldora opens the season as a Smoke-Free Environment. Smoking will not be allowed in lift lines, mazes, on lifts, or within 15 feet of decks and buildings around the resort.

Eldora will offer lessons, equipment rentals, retail accessories and food and beverage service for opening day.

Early season lift ticket pricing at Eldora will be: $55 for an Adult Full Day, $26 for a Junior Full Day(6-15yo), $38 for Senior Full Day (65-74yo), and $10 for Senior Silver (75+yo) and Child 5 and under full day tickets.
