What could be more stress relieving than taking in an ocean view from a comfy adirondack-style chair?  Alan and I would love to return to this relaxing Mendocino, California scene, one of the stops on our boomer road trip along the coast of California. After an exciting drive on Highway 1 north from Jenner, even more stunning than the famous Big Sur portion of the coastal route in our opinion, we arrived in Mendocino to discover a Pacific Coast ringside seat At Sea Rock Inn, a member of Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of America. Unfortunately, this was about the only sunny moment during our stay. You know what that means—we’ll be returning to relaxing Mendocino to walk the cliff trails and explore more of the rugged Pacific coastline.

Where do you go to relax and slow down? Post a comment to share your ideas with us. Alan and I are big believers in the benefits of slow travel.
