When I’m traveling, I tend to get a little bummed out if I don’t have clear blue skies available when I’m standing in front of what may well be a once in a lifetime photographic opportunity.
Such was the case when we recently traveled to London and I was standing in clear view of London’s famous Tower Bridge. However, in this case, I think the clouds serve to add a little drama to the scene.
What do you think?
Completed in 1894, London’s iconic Tower Bridge is often confused with the London Bridge which is actually the next bridge upstream and is far less majestic.
The bridge features two towers tied together with two horizontal walkways and is currently bedecked with red, white, and blue colors for the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
I captured this photograph from the grounds of the Tower of London while we were exploring the White Tower built by William the Conqueror in 1078.
Imagine, in 1078, intellectuals thought the world was flat and the idea that the America’s even existed was not one person’s conscious thought.
Stay tuned, I’ll share William the Conqueror’s White Tower with you in another post.
