In an interview with Parents magazine Tuesday, Vice-President Biden advised that parents didn’t need high capacity weapons, suggesting they get a double-barreled shotgun to “scare away intruders.” Biden would have done parents a better service by advising them to teach their children that, if they choose to break in to someone’s home, the owner has the right to shoot them. Personally, I don’t care whether it’s Biden, himself, or a 15 year old teenager on drugs. In the dark, my intent is not to “scare” you, but to kill you. Once shot, if you move, I will shoot you again. Sometimes, parents should understand that a little reality is better than tiptoeing around bad behavior. I wonder if Joe is willing to tell his Secret Service detail to limit themselves to two rounds?
