So the attorneys of the guy who stole thousands of secret government documents and released them to the Wikileaks website are arguing that his sentence, whatever it is going to be, should be reduced because he was abused in prison.
I disagree. Prisoner abuse must not be tolerated, but he proper remedy is to punish the offenders, not to give a sentencing break to the victim.
Manning has betrayed our country, damaged our foreign relations, and endangered CIA operatives. He should be punished severely.
