Here’s why I ask.
In today’s Senate hearing, the Senator didn’t ask questions so much as he performed for the cameras, providing a five-minute blistering indictment of Secretary Clinton and the Obama administration.
One of the Senator’s (and not just his — others made the same point) points was that Ambassador Chris Stevens had sent cables to the State Department expressing his concerns, cables that — according to Clinton — she didn’t read.
But someone did. Sen. McCain. Who in today’s hearing said the Stevens had personally cabled him expressing his concerns.
Which begs this question: ”Senator McCain, when you received this information from Ambassador Stevens, did you contact the Obama administration with his and your concerns? If so, to whom did you speak? If not, why didn’t you?”
I’d like to see that Q and A.
