We love a good four letter word. From ones that usually require you to do this: #$%^&, in their place, to ones that scream luxury. In the latter’s case, it’s not so much a word, but an abbreviation for a collection of words: LVMH, or Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, that excites us. Especially when it comes to dinner at Cafe ZuZu inside the Hotel Valley Ho.

On Monday, February 27, ZuZu’s Monday Night Chef’s Table Dinner will feature the wines of Moet Hennessy – and no, this doesn’t mean course after course paired with bubbly. M-H owns wineries far and wide, and many of them are probably already on your favorites list: wineries like Terrazas and Casa Lapostolle. For this dinner, a four-course meal will be served, each course paired with a M-H wine.

    Check out the menu:

Seared Diver Scallop with warm orange braised fennel, meyer lemon oil, and tuscan kale
    Pairing: Chateau De Sancerre

Lamb Salad with baby arugula, pine nuts, (Rouge et Noir) petite dejeuner, and razz cherry vinaigrette
Pairing: Terrazas Reserva Malbec Mendoza, Argentina

Slow-Roasted New York Strip with fingerling potatoes, and white asparagus
Pairing: Casa Lapostolle “Cuvee Alexandre” Cabernet Sauvignon, Colchagua Valley AND Chile Newton “Red Label” Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain

    Chocolate Truffle Cake

Dinner begins at 6:30pm and only costs $56++ per person. Reservations are required. And if you drink too much $%^&ing wine, you can book a room for $159 with proof that you were actually at the #$%^&ing dinner.

Bio: EATERAZ is written by media vets David Tyda and Rick Phillips. The often snarky-toned blog delivers news and gossip on the food scene in Phoenix and Scottsdale. Tyda and Phillips report on events, who’s opening (or trying to), who’s closing and new products. The site features Friday restaurant reviews in which they pull no punches. The writers are shameless and occasionally receive free food and drink, but they'll always ‘fess up in a story. EATERAZ is also the organizer of the annual Arizona Barbecue and Arizona Taco festivals.
