Hey, we don’t always have to understand it to share it.
We had lunch at Burger Joint inside Flamingo Las Vegas the other day, and tried a few of their new menu items. One, in particular, caught our eye. Behold the signature Bacon Satay.
Fact: Not something you see every day.
Oh, it’s a flavorful appetizer, all right. The dangling of the meat is an interesting way to go, but after our fleeting “Predator” moment, we were back to being distracted by the other diversions on the menu.
The raspberry iced tea is especially photogenic.
The casual Burger Joint recently added a number of new items to its menu. You can view the full menu here.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Burger Joint offers an impressive line-up of its titular burgers, and we especially liked the Slider Sampler option. Get two, four or six mini-versions of the restaurant’s burgers with names like The Italian Stallion, The Asian Persuasion, Sleep With the Fishes and The Pink Chicken Club. (No worries about the “pink chicken,” it’s a pink Flamingo thing.) Variety’s the spice of life, right?
The Slider Sampler is great for people who have trouble with commitment.
And speaking of spicy, bring some brass ones if you’re going to try another signature, dangling item, the Car Bombs. These babies are so hot, you might think you just devoured molten lava. But, according to our fellow diners, in a good way.
Run. Run for your life.
Of course, the ultimate masochistic burger at Burger Joint has to be the Burning Love. The Burning Love is topped with cayenne-peppered bacon, chipotle aioli, pepper jack cheese and jalapeños.
What is the matter with people? (You know who you are.)
You also have the option to make the Burning Love a “scorcher,” with the addition of house-blended Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia) seasoning salt and Bugsy’s Ghost Pepper sauce. We don’t know what those things are, but we are quite sure we’re never going to taste them because this blog would like to have children someday.
Here’s something else we’re liking at Burger Joint! Special discounted pricing for Total Rewards loyalty club members is right on the menu.
This blog likes it some discounts.
Also in the “like” column are the Cheesecake Lollipops (see one below).
Calorie-free! (Actual results may vary.)
Here’s today’s “So You Think You Know Vegas?” quiz: Why can’t you take a photo of the Burger Joint sign like the one below? Post your guess in the Comments section for bragging rights.
Yes, the question is worded carefully. Now try and answer it!
Here are a few more photos from Burger Joint at Flamingo, a convenient place to refuel for your next Vegas adventure.
